Phong Thi Nguyen

Phong Thi Nguyen, 87, passed on Friday, November 10th peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones.  She was the wife of the late Phuc Tran who died in 2005.  She was born in Vietnam, the daughter of the late Phong Trong and Minh Thi Nguyen and moved to Marlborough and lived in Marlborough for the past two and a half years.
She is survived by seven sons; Hung Tran of Denmark, Qui Tran of Canada, Sang Tran of California, Thanh Tran of Georgia, Nghia Tran of Georgia, Duc Tran of Denmark, Phuc Tran of Denmark, one daughter Bau Vuong of Marlborough, Massachusetts. She leaves behind twenty four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by one granddaughter, An Vuong. Phong will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved spending time with her family and going to mass. Her laughter and kind heart will be sorely missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Friday at 9:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St. Marlborough.  Visiting hours will be held on Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (http://www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St. Marlborough.
