In 1921, John P. Rowe Sr operated the John P. Rowe Funeral Home on Washington Street in Marlborough, MA before purchasing the building at 57 Main Street.
In 1974, William R. Short bought the John J. Brown Funeral Home at 95 West Main Street in Marlborough where the current funeral home operates today.
In 2019, Phillip R. Short purchased the John P. Rowe Funeral Home INC., a family-owned and operated business for generations. William R. Short & John P. Rowe, Sr. Started their respective funeral homes and set a high standard for their children to live and work up to. Today we work each and every day to work up to those high standards that Bill, John, & Phil set. In 2022, Phil, unfortunately, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.
We want our families and friends to know that the Short & Rowe Funeral Home will continue to serve their needs with a high standard of care, dedication, and compassion under the direction of John P. Rowe, III.
