George C. Kenney II, 52, tragically passed away Saturday night April 10, 2021 after being struck in an automobile accident. He was born in Lansing Michigan, the son of the late George C. Kenney of Lansing Michigan and the late Ann (Bors) Kovacs of Hudson, MA.
George proudly served our country as a United States Army medic and loved serving his country. He loved his job over the last 17+ years at the TJX Corp. working within every department of the company. A true Boston sports fan, George was known to every trivia, history and love and passion of every New England Team. His love of music and especially 80’s rock was a staple of his way of life.
He dedicated his life to his hero, his son, Jake.
Beside his loving son, Jake Kenney and his mother Karyn of Marlborough, he leaves behind a loving family to include his sisters Denise Robinson and husband Daniel of Marlborough, Dorothy Gibson and husband Justin of Marlborough, Deborah Kovacs and her fiancée Victor Pagan of Marlborough and nieces Crystal Robinson, Reygan Anderson, Kassady Andeson and Monique Kovacs and much extended family.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Short and Rowe Funeral Home, 95 West Main Street, Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, mask and social distancing will be required and seating for the service will be limited.
