Erick D. Valiente Cruz

Erick Valiente Cruz, age 33, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. He was born in Guatemala City,the son of Marco and Maritza (Cruz) Valiente of Marlborough , and moved to Marlborough when he was 12 and lived most of his life here.   He also lived a short time in Seattle.

He graduated from Assabet Valley Regional Vocational High School in 2003.  Erick proudly served in the Marine Corps as a rifleman in the infantry with the 2nd Batallion 5th Marines.

Erick’s contagious smile, vibrant personality and heart of gold will be missed dearly.

Besides his parents Erick is survived by his daughter, Fenway Valiente Cruz,  his sister Yesenia Heath of Washington , his brother, Oscar Valiente of Marlborough, his girlfriend Christina Lepore of Marlborough, and many other family members and friends.

Visiting hours hours will be held  for Friday, February 23, 2018, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at William R. Short & Son Funeral Home, 95 W Main St, Marlboro. A funeral service will take place at 8:00 pm.  Burial is scheduled for a later date.  A memorial celebration will take place following the service at 8:30 pm at the Moose Lodge, 67 Fitchburg Street, Marlboro.
