Dorothy J. (Payne) Lind

     Dorothy J. (Payne) Lind, 76, died on Sunday November 24, 2018 after a period of failing health.  She was the wife of Erland Lind of Marlborough.  They were married for 30 years.  She was born in Allston, the daughter of the late Edward and Jessie (Caso) Payne and lived in Marlborough for 28 years. 

     Mrs. Lind worked many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the New England Nurses Association in Lexington and also worked as an EMT.  She was a lover of all animals, particularly dogs and cats, of which she currently had four.     

     Besides her husband she is survived by a brother Edward Payne III of Florida and many nieces and nephews.

     Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St. Marlborough.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery Marlborough.  An hour of visitation at the funeral home will be held on Saturday form 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
