   Dorothy J. “Dottie” (Logan) Breen, 88, died Tuesday December 5, 2018 after a long period of failing health surrounded by her family  She was the wife of James H. “Jim” Breen Sr. to whom she was married for 68 years.  Born in Northeast MD, she was the daughter of the late Elwood P. and Florence R. (Shivery) Logan and was a Marlborough resident along with her husband for the past 50 years.     

    Mrs. Breen worked as a service desk manager at Marshalls department store in Marlborough for over 20 years and was known as “Mrs. Marshalls” by many friends of the family as she greeted everyone with a smile.

     Besides her husband she is survived by her three daughters, Carol Kilcourse of Hopedale, Cathy Jobes of Conway SC and Ellen Santini of Waltham, as well as two sons, Jim Breen Jr. of Marlborough and John Breen of Berlin. She was predeceased by her beloved son Brian Breen who died in 1993. “Nana” also enjoyed her ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews who all loved her deeply.

     Her funeral will be held on Thursday December 13th at 11 AM in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St. Marlborough.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery Marlborough.  Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday evening  of the 12th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St. Marlborough.
