Rose M. Zydlewski, OFS

Rose M. Zydlewski, OFS, a resident of Marlborough, MA for over 50 years, passed away on July 1st, 2017 at the home of her daughter surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Buffalo, NY on November 12, 1931 to Sophie (Lesniak) and Anthony Romek. Rose’s life was devoted to her family and the Church. She recently celebrated her 55th anniversary to her loving husband, Walter R. Zydlewski. She is also survived by her four children (Anthony, Douglas, Joseph, and Diane) and their spouses (Susan, Christine, Gayle, and Kevin) along with her four grandchildren (Michael and his wife Catherine, Emily, Benjamin, and Orion).  Rose was an active member of the Rosary Sodality at St. Ann’s Church. She was professed to the Secular Franciscan Order (OFS) in 1999 and received into the St. Ann Fraternity. Recently, she served as the Formation Director for the Fraternity. At the St. Bernadette’s Parish, she served as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and co-chaired the Altar Society Ministry. Rose was an avid reader and loved to travel to Eastern and Western Europe to learn of its history. She also enjoyed many crafts, especially sewing crafts such as knitting, crocheting, and needlepoint. Great appreciation is extended to the staff of the Constellation Hospice for their loving care. Those wishing to celebrate the life of Rose are invited to visit from 5-8 PM on Friday, July 7th at the William R. To Walter and the Family,

When Pearl and I returned from vacation, we were saddened to received the news that Rose had passed. She truly was a good and faithful Wife and Mother...and Woman of God...the God she served with love and compassion for so many years! We will miss her smile and her gentleness but we know that we will see her again as we walk the journey that leads us Home to God. We ask Almighty God to bestow His Choicest Blessings upon the Zydlewski Family...not only in times of grief and loss...but always. God bless you all!

With Love,
