Virginia (Jinny) L. (Jenkins) Gauthier Martinangelo, 96, formerly of Marlborough died Monday morning, January 14th, after a long period of failing health.  She died at the home of her daughter, Marijane Gauthier in Lutz, Florida. She was the wife of Ralph H. Martinangelo to whom she was married for 52 years and was the widow of John F. Gauthier from Dedham, MA.  Besides her husband she is survived by her daughter, Marijane Gauthier of Lutz, Fla., her son, John F. Gauthier Jr. and his wife, Iona of Conroe, TX, 2 grandchildren, John Gauthier and his wife, Maria, and  Steven Gauthier and two great grandchildren, Gates and Ruby Gauthier. In addition she is survived by her sisters, Edna Gill of Alabama and Juanita London of Louisiana. She is predeceased by her sisters, Velma Meadows of Alabama and Irene Groll of New Mexico.  She leaves several nieces and nephews. She was born in Virginia, the daughter of the late William and Oolooloo (Hadley) Jenkins and moved to Marlborough in 1960, after marrying her husband, Ralph. Virginia was employed as a secretary for the Marlborough Public School system, working at  Mitchell, Kane and the Middle School  until her retirement in 1984. She was a long time member of the Colonial Garden Club of Marlborough of which she proudly served as president from 1977-1979.  Calling hours will be held on Wednesday evening, January 23rd, at the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St., Marlborough, from 4-6 P.M.  Her funeral will be held on Thursday, January 24th, at 9:30 A.M. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough, MA.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Colonial Garden Club of Marlborough Scholarship Fund c/o Mary Garner, 32 Forbes Ave., Marlborough, MA 01752.
