Virginia M. (Riley) Allison

     Virginia M. (Riley) Allison, 58, died Wednesday December 11, 2019 after a long period of declining health.  She was the wife of Russell Allison to whom she was married for 29 years.  She was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Wallace and Elizabeth (Brown) Riley and lived most of her life in Waltham and Marlborough.

     Virginia enjoyed going out for afternoon tea and spending summers at Lake Winnipesaukee with family and friends.

Besides her husband she is survived by a brother John Riley and his wife Aida of Marlborough, two nieces; Marie Russell and Christine Riley both of Marlborough. 

     Visiting hours will be held on Friday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home (www.shortandrowefuneralhome.com), 95 West Main St. Marlborough.  Private family burial will be held at a later date. 

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Mass. Association for Mental Health (www.mamh.org)
