Patricia Ann (Glebus) Kolak

Patricia Ann Kolak passed away Friday evening, September 8, 2023, after a long battle with breast cancer surrounded by her loving family.

She was born December 28, 1947, in Bolton, MA, the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Mary L. (Kaloustian) Glebus.

Patricia graduated from Hudson Catholic High School Class of 1965 and earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Framingham University.

Patricia spent most of her career at UMMC Marlborough Hospital as a Medical Technologist until she retired from Genzyme in 2013.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 53 years, Joseph A. Kolak of Marlborough, her daughters, Kathleen Cote and her husband David of Stow, Kimberly Jackson and her husband Daniel of Hudson, and her five grandchildren, Courtney, Kiera, Dylan, Ainsley and Ashlee, whom she adored and lovingly referred to her as ‘Grammy Pat’. Patricia also leaves behind her sister Janet of Marlborough and brother Joseph J. Glebus and his wife Paula of Leominister, as well as many other family members & cousins who will sadly miss her.

Patricia was a lifelong resident of the Hudson-Marlboro area. In her earlier years, she spent many summers at her parent’s vacation home on Granite Lake in Munsonville, NH with family and friends. Later, when her kids were younger, she and her husband bought a place in Intervale, NH where she loved spending time in her ‘happy place’ with her husband, daughters, sons-in-law, and her granddaughters. She also loved to travel and plan the family vacations. Patricia had an infectious laugh and was the happiest when she was with her family no matter where she was. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Patricia, loved her dearly.

Calling hours will be held on Friday September 15, 2023 from 4-6 pm in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 10a.m. in St Michael’s Parish, 21 Manning St, Hudson, MA. Burial will follow in St Michael’s Cemetery, High St., Hudson, MA
