Lee Knollenberg Sr., 73, died Tuesday May 12, 2020 after a long period of failing health. He was the husband of Carole (Preeper) Knollenberg who died in 2000. They were married for 29 years. He was born in Slayton, MN and lived in Marlborough for 36 years.
Lee was a United States Navy veteran retiring after 20 years of service. He went on to work as a Sudbury Police dispatcher, as well as a painter with Fortini-Harris Inc..
He is survived by a son Lee Knollenberg Jr. of Marlborough, a daughter Michele Carter of Marlborough, 2 grandchildren, Jason and Jessica Knollenberg of Marlborough, 3 siblings, Barb Schettler, Chuck Knollenberg, and Carol Smith, of Minnesota, and many nephews and nieces.
Private funeral arrangements, under the direction of the Short & Rowe Funeral Home (www.shortandrowefuneralhome.com) are being planned.
