Obituary

Evelyn Alice (Rogazzo) Spears of Hudson died at U Mass in Worcester March 4,2023, surrounded by her family. She was 82.

Evelyn was born in Boston Feb 5,1941 to the late Angelo Rogazzo and Mary (Imbaro) Rogazzo.  She graduated Hyde Park High School in 1958 and went on to begin her career in banking.

She first worked The Federal Reserve Bank in Boston. Later as a manager at Rust Craft Credit Union. She managed at 2 banks in Newton before retiring from Baystate Federal in Norwood as a manager and Bank Officer.

She married Kenneth R Spears in 1960 and had her daughter Dianne in 1961.  Evelyn retired at 62 to take care of her grandson Cole. He was the light of her life. “I love you more” was what she always told him.

Evie and Kenny loved to take long walks and drives that always seemed to end at Casinos….  Evelyn loved numbers and puzzles ….

Evie is survived by her husband Kenneth, daughter Dianne Doucette of Marlborough, son in law Paul Doucette, grandson Cole (her love) …and step grandsons Matthew and Paul (PJ) and their families of Gardner and Templeton, also survived by her sister Phillis Bono of Yarmouth, Ma., and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Rogazzo.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson MA.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Evelyn’s name to the Hydrocephalus Association at www.hydroassoc.org/
