David M. Lundberg, 51, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Cape Coral FL on December 14, 2020. David was born in Marlborough, Massachusetts, the son of Joyce Brown Lundberg and the late Mark Lundberg of Marlborough. Besides his mother he is survived by his sister, Cynthia Lundberg Mercer of Boston, his nephew Maxwell Mercer, and his aunt Janet Lundberg. He is also predeceased by his sister, Patricia “Tricia” Lundberg.
David graduated Marlborough High School in 1987 and received a Certificate of Pprofessional Culinary Arts from Newbury College in Brookline, MA. In 1990 he moved to Boston to pursue his career in culinary arts, and worked at well-known restaurants including Legal Seafoods, the Garden of Eden and Grille 23. In 2009 he moved to Myrtle Beach, SC to work for the Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort. He fell in love with the weather and within a few years moved to Fort Meyers FL to work at the Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort.
David is loved by so many. He is known best for his great sense of humor, his loyalty to friends and his work ethic. He loved gardening and all things nature. He loved camping and climbing and always referred to his climbing trip in the Alps as one of the greatest experiences of his life.
