David F. Colacchio

     David F. Colacchio, 56, died Thursday June 16, 2016 after a short illness.  He was born in Marlborough, the son of the late John and Alice (D'Amico) Colacchio and spent much of his life here in Marlborough before moving to Clinton.
     He was a United States Air Force veteran and went on to work in the construction field, he was currently working as a  truck driver..  David was a member of the Dukes of Marlborough and enjoyed nothing more than a great day of fishing or restoring classic cars.
     He is survived by two daughters; Erica Souza and her husband Kyle Pursell of Marlborough and Marissa Langley of Ashland, three brothers; John "Butch" Colacchio of Parhump NV, Thomas Colacchio and his wife Carol of Berlin, Stephen Colacchio and his wife Marylynne of Marlborough, two sisters; Catherine Kyper and her husband Richard of Marlborough, Amy Smith and her husband Harlan of Marlborough, two grandsons Greyson and Devin and many nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his long time companion Tammy Sierra and her children Jonathan and Meagan.
     Visiting hours will be held on Monday evening from 5-8 p.m. in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St. Marlborough.  Burial will be private.
     In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham MA 01701
