Darlene Ann (Gibson) Mulcahy

Darlene Ann (Gibson) Mulcahy 84, a lifelong resident of Marlborough, died at her home on Friday, April 28, 2023 after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Marlborough, MA, the daughter of the late Frederick Gibson and Ann (Boksanske) Gibson Prouty.

Darlene was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Thomas F. Mulcahy in 2009.

She graduated from St Michael's, Hudson, MA, Class of ‘56 and earned her Associate’s Degree from Middlesex Community College in Bedford.

Darlene worked as a Financial Analyst for Digital Corp in Maynard for over 20 years retiring in 1986.

She enjoyed painting, genealogy, tarot cards, lighthouse hunting, playing Quiddler, raising birds, showing cats, and loving her dogs, especially the late Shelbee. She loved the ocean and had traveled to Europe and took an Alaskan cruise.

Darlene is survived by her son Thomas Mulcahy and his wife Sharon of ME, daughter Pamela Kessler and her husband Michael of Petersham, her sister Judith Brooks of CA, 9 grandchildren, Zachary and his wife Brittany, Crystal and her husband Kenneth, Jennifer and her husband Michael, Heather, Rebecca and her husband Sean, Jeffrey and his wife Kyree, Danielle, Chris and his wife Laura, Eric and 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and her friend of 50+ years, Linda Sobek.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Donna M DeMichele in 2005 and 2 brothers, Frederick Gibson Jr in 1990 and Ernest Prouty Jr.in 2022.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
