Albert "Al" Cole Obituary

     Albert “Al” F. Cole, aged 77, originally of Marlborough, MA died peacefully on October 21, 2021 at his home in The Villages, Florida. Al was born on January 9, 1944 in Providence, RI, the son of Fredrick L. Cole and Emma L. (Fanning) Cole. He was predeceased in 2015 by his wife of 52 years, Veronica E. (Campbell) Cole.

     Al worked for Polaroid Corporation for 32 years before retiring. He was an avid golfer and Patriots fan but also enjoyed watching basketball and many other sports. He enjoyed camping trips throughout New England with family and friends, having campfires and playing the guitar.

     Al is survived by three children, Albert Cole Jr. and his wife Robyn of Windham, NH, Michael Cole of Marlborough and Christine Grogan and her husband Jerry of Simpsonville, SC; sister Patricia Tameo and brother Fred Cole; nine grandchildren, Kevin, Jessica, Amanda, Ryan, Alora, Brandon, Katelynn, Kyle and Kelsy; and eight great-grandchildren.

     Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 29, 2021 in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 West Main St. Marlborough, MA. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Marlborough. Calling hours will be at the funeral home before the service from 9 to 11 AM.
