William J Beaulac

William J. "Bill" Beaulac, 84, died unexpectedly Friday evening, March 3rd, after being stricken ill.  He was the husband of Patricia "Pat" (Shannon) Beaulac for 64 years.  He was born in Marlborough, the son of the late William and Adeline (Potvin) Beaulac, graduated from Marlboro HIgh School,  and in Marlboro  all of his life.    
     Mr. Beaulac was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and was a long time member and past commander of the American Legion Akroyd Houde Post 132 of Marlborough.  He also served for many years as a quartermaster for the former Dukes Drum and Bugle Corp of Marlboro.
     Bill worked as a substation foreman and retired from the Massachusettes Electric Company after 36 years of service.
     Besides his wife he survived by three children;  a son William Beaulac and his wife Lidia of Lyndonville VT, a daughter Jean Cain and her husband David of The Villages Fla., a son John Beaulac and his wife Paula of Boylston, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.   He was predeceased by a son David Beaulac who died in 2001.
     His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St. Marlborough.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.  Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held on Wednesday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service.  
     In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Fisher House, 1400 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury Ma. 02132.
