Orlando Lopez,65, died Sunday March 24 at his home. He was born in Havana Cuba, the son of the late Marc and Delfina (Pazo) Lopez and lived in Marlborough for many years.
Mr. Lopez worked for over 30 years as a master welder for Dav-Tech Plating in Marlborough until becoming ill recently. Orlando took great pride in his work and was a long term dedicated employee. Orlando was not only an industrial welder but an artistic welder. He would design and create beautiful original pieces. In his leisure time Orlando enjoyed woodworking, working with leather making wallets and belts, getting dinner, catching a movie with friends and strolling through flea markets looking for that hidden gem. He had a tremendous interest in all types of machinery, was a master chef when it came to the Insta-Pot and a frialator and had a green thumb for cacti.
He is survived by a son Thomas Scott of Framingham, a brother Robert Lopez of Natick and many friends.
A funeral service will be held Thursday April 4, 2019 at 4:00p.m.
