George Neubauer, 75, of Auburn, passed away on August 8, 2017 at his residence.
George served in the Army as a Green Beret. He was a long-time piping design engineer at Badger/Raytheon and later in life also worked for UPS. In his retirement, he was a fixture of his Auburn neighborhood, well loved by those who knew him and who he loved in return. Throughout his life, George was dedicated to his family and immensely proud of his children and their accomplishments and cheered them on in everything they ever attempted. He always had a do-it-yourself attitude and spent time not only doing it but teaching others how to as well. George was full of imagination and had a love of fun that made lasting memories that comfort those who remain and will be passed on to generations to come.
He is survived by his children, Julie and George Neubauer; his siblings, John, Mary Ann Austin, and Bonnie Sibley; and his former wife, Suzanne, with whom he raised their two children.
George is predeceased by his siblings, Michael and Jimmy Neubauer.
His funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 24, at 11:00 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St, Marlborough.
There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Immaculate Conception Church or a veterans-focused charity.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the William R. Short & Son Funeral Home in Marlborough.
