September 30, 1921 ~ November 17, 2018 (age 97)

Eva E. (Spurio) Risotti, 97, died Saturday November 17, 2018, after a short period of failing health. She was the wife of the late John M. Risotti, Sr. who passed away in 2012. They were married for 67 years. She was born in Somerville, the daughter of the late Henry and Maria (Voldolini) Spury and lived in Marlborough for the past 73 years.

Mrs. Risotti was a member of Saint Bernadette’s Church in Northborough and was a long time member of the former Saint Ann’s Church in Marlborough, where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality.

Eva was devoted to her family and will be remembered for her endless kindness and loving heart. Eva loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She built strong traditions with them like making raviolis, baking Italian cookies, and coloring Easter eggs. She and her late husband could always be found at one of their many activities. She enjoyed vacationing with her sisters and brother-in laws at Cape Cod each summer. Some of her fondest memories were playing cards on Saturday night with “the gang”.

She is survived by one son, John “Jack” Risotti of Hudson, and three daughters, Susanne Gird of Hudson, Barbara Correia of Hudson, and Christine Risotti of Hudson; seven grandchildren whom she was affectionately known as “Nonnie", Rebecca Regan, Benjamin and Emily Gird, Rachel Santiano, Ashley Murphy, Taylor and Zachary Risotti; seven great-grandchildren who knew her as “Great Nonnie", Michael, Molly, Siena, Wesley, Juliet, Anthony and Declan; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her eight brothers and sisters.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Bernadette’s Church, 266 Main Street, Northborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Marlborough. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main Street, Marlborough.
