Diane (Busch) Chimera, 80, died unexpectedly on November 22, 2018. She was born in Buffalo NY, one of thirteen children of the late Andrew and Laura (DeVoe) Busch.
Ms. Chimera worked as a dietary supervisor at Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo for many years before moving to Marlborough. After raising her kids, she went back to work cleaning homes in the Marlborough area.
She was a long time member of the former Saint Ann’s church in Marlborough and was very proud of having worked on the presidential campaign of John F. Kennedy. Some of her favorite hobbies were crossword puzzles, long car rides and spending time in Maine.
She is survived by two daughters; Geraldine Chimera of Marlborough, AnnMarie Chimera and her husband Theodore Merkel and their two children Jordan and Vanessa of Worcester, two sons; Anthony Chimera and his wife Jessica of Hudson , Richard Chimera and his fiancée Erin of Worcester, two sisters; Laura Oliver and JoAnn Maisano both of NY, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St. Marlborough. Burial will be at a later date. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 5-8 p.m. in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St. Marlborough.
