Constance L. (Wagner) Mann

Mann, Constance Louise “Connie” (Wagner) age 86 formerly of Hudson, Massachusetts passed away on June 4, 2018 surrounded by her family. Daughter of the late Percy W. Wagner and the late Mary L. Wagner (Hames). Beloved wife of the late Major (US Army Retired) John Mann. Devoted mother of Karen L. Doherty of Cranston, Rhode Island and Susan L. Poland and her husband Ronald J. Poland of Shirley, Massachusetts. Loving grandmother of five grandchildren Christine M. Martin and her husband Nicholas J. Martin, Kerri L. Doherty, Brittany J. Doherty, Victoria L. Poland, and Jillian L. Poland. Proud great-grandmother of Avery Mae Martin.

 Connie was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on August 8, 1931. She was a dedicated nurse at Brookline Hospital and Marlborough Hills Nursing Home for many years. She retired from Braemore Nursing Home in Marlborough, Massachusetts. After her retirement, she selflessly cared for her aging mother for the remainder of her life as well as assisted in private home care for various ill and injured patients.   Connie was a proud survivor of a 10 year battle with Multiple Myeloma.  

She was a faithful member of the Assembly of God Church in Marlborough, Massachusetts and always enjoyed preparing meals for the congregants and teaching the young children at nursery school. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at William R. Short and Son Funeral Home located at 95 W. Main Street, Marlborough, Massachusetts from 9:00 - 10:00AM followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM.   Burial at Newton Cemetery, Newton, Massachusetts.
