Herbert C Edmunds, 91, husband of the late Mary (Mack) Edmunds, died on Sunday, December 16th. They were married for 61 years. Herb was a veteran of World War II and fought at both the Battle of the Bulge and the D Day invasion in Normandy. Herb went on to work as a bus driver for the B&W bus lines, and would amaze his children and grandchildren with his knowledge of local history and geography. He visited the Wayside Inn often on his bus tours, and could easily recite "Tales of a Wayside Inn", even long after he had retired.He read constantly and especially loved all things Sherlock Holmes.
He leaves a son Robert(Bobby) and his wife Sharon of Medway, a daughter Nancy Lee and her husband Bob of Waltham, a daughter- in- law Cindy of Mexico, six grandchildren,and two great grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly. He was predeceased by his son William(Billy) Edmunds. The family welcomes visitors at 27 Azalea Drive in Medway from 4-8 on Friday, December 21. Burial wiil be private.
